Nashville Earth Day – Marketing & Brand Refresh
For Nashville Earth Day, I handled marketing and design for one of the city’s biggest free events. My focus was to sharpen the look and feel, grow the digital following, and create a more welcoming and engaging visual identity.
I refreshed the event’s digital presence by improving the usability and brand integration of the existing website and building a more consistent visual style across all channels. From Q42023 to Q32025, event saw strong audience growth:
Email subscribers more than doubled (1,132 → 2,436)
Instagram up 44% (1,402 → 2,024)
Facebook up 6% (4,955 → 5,232)
I created all of the promotional graphics for the season: social media content, digital ads, billboards, print ads (Nashville Scene, Nfocus, Nashville Parent, The Tennessean, Tennessee Tribune, Social Indoor, The Nashvillian) and sent weekly email reminders via MailChimp. I also partnered closely with the event director to design materials for EarthTalks, a series of free, TED-style presentations by local environmental experts.
On the ground, I managed day-of signage setup, captured live content throughout the event, and assisted with teardown. I also participated in the post-event team debrief to help shape improvements for the following year.
Overall, I helped elevate the visual identity and participant experience of Nashville Earth Day, making the event feel more cohesive, polished, and welcoming while significantly growing its digital audience.
