CLASSIC CARS AT CHEEKWOOD

Graphics created for an exhibition of 2 1930s Hupmobile vehicles at Cheekwood, in the gallery space that was once used to house the Cheek family’s cars.

ARCHITECTURAL HISTORY TIMELINE

As part of an exhibition of costumes from the TV show Downtown Abbey, I designed this timeline of Architectural history which was displayed in Cheekwood Mansion’s art gallery. The timeline used both vinyl graphics and panels featuring photos and interpretive text.

CHEEKWOOD MANSION HISTORY

In addition to the Architecture history timeline, this show also featured a number of photographs and interpretive panels showcasing the history of the Cheekwood mansion. I facilitated the design and creation of dozens of panels, seen here.

DOG NIGHTS ENVIRONMENTAL SIGNAGE

Environmental signage for Dog Nights at Thursday Night Out. We arranged a photoshoot of employee’s dogs in the gardens to capture images to be used in the marketing campaign and signage for this event.

VISIONS FROM ABOVE: THE LIFE AND WORK OF WILLIAM EDMONDSON

For an exhibition of sculpture by the Nashville artist William Edmondson, I created several panels and wall graphics displayed alongside the sculpture.

I photographed the sculpture displays to be featured in marketing materials and on the Cheekwood website.

EXHIBITION GRAPHICS | PHOTOGRAPHY

While serving as the graphic designer at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens, I designed exhibition graphics, wayfinding and event signage for a variety of events in the historic gallery spaces and outdoor gardens. This is a small selection of the work that I completed.

When I began at Cheekwood, they had just been through an extensive brand redesign. As such, it was my responsibility as the organization’s graphic designer to take the new branding and extend it into additional guest-facing touch points throughout the indoor and outdoor spaces. This included designing additional branding for Cheekwood summer camp, one-day events, creating graffiti signage for restrooms, permanent directional signage in the guest services building, and brass dedication plaques in the historic mansion.

Additionally, I created a variety of printed collateral including quarterly mailers, fold out maps, exhibition guides and booklets.
